ABRITES – AVDI – VN004 Special Function – VAG EDC17/MED17 Boot Mode Reading

The
VN004
is a special function dedicated to reading the internal configuration of any EDC17/ MED17 ECUs. This function allows the reading of the Configuration Data (EEPROM), Internal Flash, and External Flash of these units, allows you to modify them and create dump files ready for adaptation from one vehicle to another, it has the ability to read the mileage from the EDC/MED 17 and change it according to the vehicle. The function is not limited to VAG vehicles and can be used on other brands utilizing the Bosch MED/ EDC 17 Motor Electronics.
Features

Full access to the memory through boot-mode (CAN bus)

Read/Update EDC17/MED17 EEPROM/flash memory

Read PIN/CS/MAC

Make immobilizer bypass ( in the EEPROM and in the flash)

Recalibration of control unit mileage for ECUs – EDC17/MED17

Transfer PIN/CS/MAC from one EDC17/MED17 to another

Fix the checksums in flash.

It is strongly recommended that you use the ZN051 Distribution Box when working with the VN004 special function in order to be able to toggle between BOOT MODE and Diagnostic mode which is very helpful for working with EDC17/ MED17

VN003 – VAG Key Learning
One of our flagship special functions, the VN003 is well known for being a world leader in key transponders, PCB, and remote control programming for in Volkswagen/Audi/Seat/Skoda/Bentley/Lamborghini and even some Porsche vehicles. VN003 covers cars from the first box immobilizer systems in Golf 3 to the BCM2 types of systems installed in the A4, A5, A6, A7, and A8 cars.

The Abrites Diagnostics for Porsche is one of the very few actual non-OEM solutions for Porsche vehicles, with the help of PO006 you can calibrate the operating hours, time, and mileage of Porsche vehicles from different generations starting from the 996/986 911 Carrera/Boxter model and reaching the 970 Panamera and 9PA Cayenne models, also including the 997 911 Carrera vehicles and Carrera GT.
