Keri’s PXL-500 Tiger II Controller
hardware platform provides sophisticated access control solutions for up to 256 doors at a single site and thousands of doors spread over a number of remote sites. The unique architecture allows Keri to offer the system hardware at a lower cost compared to other manufacturers. It also contains many features that simplify and significantly reduce the cost of installation. The system is managed by Keri’s Doors32 software or Doors.NET software, with Doors.NET being recommended for all new installations.

The PXL-500 itself contains all the input/output functionality necessary to manage a single door (Lock Relay, Door Sense, Request to-Exit, and two reader inputs) as well as provide an alarm output. Each controller has an RS-485 port for connection to other PXL-500’s (up to 128 per network) and an RS-232 serial port for connection to a PC which communicates with the first PXL-500 on the network. The PXL-500’s two reader inputs can be configured for any Wiegand-compatible device

The SB-593 Satellite Expansion Board
plugs directly onto the
Tiger II PXL-500
to provide an additional 8 general purpose inputs and 4 general purpose outputs. With a simple jumper setting, two of the inputs and two of the outputs are configured to economically manage a second door.
Note
this item requires the
Tiger II PXL-500
to work. It is an expansion board to expand the amount of doors that can be controlled for the PXL-500

The LAN-520 AESP is an updated version of Keri’s LAN-520X device for use with the
Tiger II PXL-500

With this device you can be connected via Ethernet to bridge long distances within a facility or campus, as well as across any distance where a LAN/WAN exists. This allows customers to combine what would normally be separate sites, each with their own RS-485 network, into a single site for better security management, whether across a corporate campus or across town
Typically, access controllers within a building or group of buildings would be connected using an RS-485 network. If cabling to another building is cost-prohibitive or impossible, but an Ethernet backbone exists between them, the connection can be made by using the LAN-520 AESP
LAN-520 AESP which converts the RS-485 network data to an Ethernet packet, then back to RS-485 where the network can be continued. If the customer choses not to run any RS-485 networking, all controllers can be connected via TCP/IP to take advantage of the existing Ethernet LAN/WAN.
